Guide to age related activities
A quick guide to my 20+ activities. Your investment is for 1 hour and you can add half an hour increments in order to have a) more elaborate artwork or b) accommodate a lot of children. I try to match the artwork and activities to the theme of the party. With my advance painting techniques and balloon air compressor, I’m able to produce prolific works of art at a higher level and faster than a lot of my colleagues. From years of experience these have been the most requested of my activities:
Variety Package: face painting, balloons, parachute play, puppets and singalongs.
Combo Package: Balloons and Face painting
Magic Package: Magic, balloons and painting
Looking for specific characters and their related activity:
Dora Adventure – Interactive adventure lasts 15-20 minutes and you can choose other activities to round out the amount of time you like. For example, if you have 10 children for 1 hour, you can have the adventure with balloons and painting; or balloons, painting, songs; or painting, songs, and parachute play, for example.
Pirate Adventure – The Captain Arrr, swashbuckles in to see if the new “crew” is worthy to be pirates on her ship, by testing their seaworthiness and storytelling and walking the plank. Depending on the number of children and time investment, I can face paint them into pirates and accessorize them with balloon swords and pirate paraphernalia and teach sword fighting. Optional activities include a treasure hunt.
Dancing: Hawaiian, Ballerina, Belly Dancing: 15-20 minutes. Add activities to round out your designated time.
Most clients book me for 1.5 – 2 hours. I can certainly also entertain for 3+ hours.
1st Birthdays or any celebration were kids fall in these age ranges:
These celebrations tend to have children of all ages, so most activities would work fine. Magic with face painting or balloons is common. If you have toddlers than the Variety Package is best.
2nd Birthdays or any celebration were kids fall in these age ranges:
Usually all the other children are around two, and my best approach is my variety package. I have found that face painting, balloons, parachute play, puppets and singalongs are the best activities for this age group. As exciting as balloons are, they can be given to 2 year olds and up, but are not recommended below that age as they pose a choking hazard for children. I usually comes as a Fairy or in bright colors, or you can choose a costume.

If the majority of your guests fall in the 2 year old bracket, I highly recommend the 2 year old Variety Package. I understand that your child is turning 3, has an attention span therefore you would like magic for them. But if there are only a handful of the group that are three and older the majority of children will not be entertained.
3rd Birthdays or any celebration were kids fall in these age ranges:
Variety Package is good. Dora Adventure works well if most of the children are closer to 4 and up. You can choose other activities to go with the Dora Adventure, such as face painting, balloons, parachute play and singalongs.
4th Birthdays and up or any celebration were kids fall in these age ranges:
Variety Package is good. Children at this age can enjoy magic and most of the activities I list.
